The Owner-Dependency Audit

Find out exactly where the business needs you. Then make it need you less.

A guided diagnosis of where you're the bottleneck, ranked by what it's costing you. You leave with a prioritized plan: what to hand off first, what to write down next, and what to automate after that.

What you walk away with

Not advice. A sequence.

Most owners already know they're the bottleneck. What they don't know is where to start. Everything feels load-bearing, so nothing gets handed off, and another year goes by.

The audit fixes the starting-point problem. Together we map where the business actually depends on you, across the same six dimensions the free assessment measures, and then rank those dependencies by cost: hours, money, and risk.

You walk away with:

  • A dependency map. Every place the business routes through you, made visible.
  • A ranked list. Which dependencies are costing you most, with numbers attached.
  • A sequenced plan. Your first three moves: what to delegate, document, or automate, in order. Not a 40-page report. A plan you could execute without us.

That last part is deliberate. If the audit only works when you hire us afterward, we'd be selling you the same trap you're trying to escape.

How it works

Three steps, no homework marathon.

01

Apply.

A short form below. We're checking fit, not gatekeeping. If the audit isn't right for your situation, we'll tell you and point you somewhere useful.

02

The working session.

We go through your operation together: how decisions get made, what lives only in your head, where things stall when you're out. You talk, we map.

03

Your roadmap.

Within a week you get the dependency map, the ranked list, and your sequenced first moves. Then you decide what happens next. Run the plan yourself, or have us build it with you.

Who runs it

Built by someone who learned this the expensive way.

The audit was designed by Alex del Valle, who spent five years as the single point of failure in his own café. The full story is on the home page, but the short version: he once ran the place solo for 43 straight days and fainted mid-conversation with a customer. The business worked. The owner almost didn't.

Common questions

Asked before applying.

What is owner dependency?

Owner dependency is how much a business relies on its owner to keep running: the decisions, know-how, relationships, and money that route through one person. The higher it is, the more the business stalls or breaks when the owner steps away, and the harder the company is to grow, hand off, or sell.

What do I walk away with?

Three things: a dependency map of every place the business routes through you, a ranked list of what each dependency is costing you, and a sequenced plan for your first three moves. It's built to stand alone, so you could run it without hiring us again.

How long does the audit take?

One working session, plus a short application before it. Your dependency map, ranked list, and sequenced first moves arrive within a week of the session.

Do I have to hire Ownfri afterward?

No. The plan is deliberately built so you can execute it yourself. If you want help running it, the Operating System subscription and the done-with-you Rewire exist, but the audit doesn't depend on them.
