The four steps, and what each one costs
Step 01
Owner Dependency Assessment
Free
18 questions · about 5 minutes · no card
Scores how much the business leans on you across all six dimensions, then names your archetype, from The Hostage to The Architect.
- A 0 to 100 dependency score
- Your archetype and what it means
- Which dimensions grip hardest
- Private. No sales call attached.
Step 02 · most owners start here
The Owner Dependency Audit
$500 one time
Credited in full against implementation
A working session that turns the score into a map: every place the business routes through you, ranked by what each one actually costs.
- A structured review of how the business runs through you
- Interviews with you and the people who hold the work
- A written report, ranked by what each dependency costs
- A 90-day roadmap: what to hand off, to whom, in what order
- A walkthrough call to go through it together
Step 03
The Operating System
Monthly
Scoped and quoted at the end of your audit
The cadence that keeps the roadmap moving after the audit, because the thing that beats a good plan is a standing appointment with it.
- A living roadmap, kept current
- Playbooks and templates you keep
- A monthly working session
- Cancel when it stops earning its place
Step 04
The Implementation Engagement
$3,000 with the audit credited
$3,500 if you buy the audit and the work together
Done-with-you implementation. We work your roadmap in priority order until the business stops routing through you.
- We work the roadmap with you, in priority order
- Handover plans for the work that runs through you now
- The people who take it on are trained, not just told
- Regular working sessions through the 90 days
- A written record of what changed, so it stays changed
The audit is credited in full. Take the audit at $500 and implementation is $3,000 afterwards. Buy both together and it is $3,500. Either route totals $3,500, so starting with the diagnosis costs you nothing extra, and you can stop there if the diagnosis is all you needed.
Why the prices are on the page
Most consulting sites make you book a call to find out what anything costs. That is a filter designed to work in the seller's favour, and owner-operators do not have time for it. You are trying to work out whether this is a $500 decision or a $50,000 one, and you should be able to answer that in about thirty seconds without talking to anyone. So the numbers are here, in public, along with what each one buys and what it does not. If the price is wrong for where your business is right now, you have lost half a minute instead of half an afternoon. If it is right, you already know before we speak, and the call can be about the business instead of about the invoice. Nobody gets a different number for asking a different way, and there is no discount for pushing back, because the price was never padded to leave room for one.
What the price does not move with is time. The audit is $500 whether your business has four people or forty, and implementation is a fixed engagement rather than an hourly arrangement, so a problem that turns out to be messier than expected costs you nothing extra. There is no retainer, no minimum term, and no package you have to commit to before you know what is wrong. Each step is bought on its own and only after the step below it has proved worth the money. The assessment is free because you should not have to pay to find out whether you have the problem in the first place. And if you take the audit and decide the roadmap is something you would rather run yourself, that is a finished piece of work rather than an abandoned sales process. Plenty of owners stop there, which is the point.
Common questions about cost
How much does an owner dependency audit cost?
The Owner Dependency Audit is $500, paid once. It produces a dependency map, a ranked list of what each dependency costs you in hours, dollars and risk, and a sequenced 90-day roadmap. If you go on to implementation, that $500 is credited in full against the engagement.
How much does Ownfri cost in total?
The assessment is free. The audit is $500. Implementation is $3,500, or $3,000 if you have already paid for the audit, because the audit price is credited in full. The Operating System is a monthly subscription scoped and quoted at the end of the audit. There is no package you have to buy up front.
Do I have to buy the audit before implementation?
No. You can take the audit first at $500 and then pay $3,000 for implementation, or buy both together as one $3,500 engagement. The total is $3,500 either way, so starting with the audit costs nothing extra and lets you stop after the diagnosis if that is all you need.
Is there a retainer or a long-term contract?
No retainer and no minimum term. The audit is a one-time payment. Implementation is a fixed-price engagement, not an hourly arrangement, so the price does not move if the work takes longer than expected. The Operating System is monthly and can be cancelled.
How do I start?
Start with the free 18-question assessment, which takes about five minutes and scores how much the business depends on you. If the audit is the right next step, book a 15-minute intro call. Paid engagements begin after that call, not before, so nothing is bought blind.
