A privacy policy you can actually read.
What Ownfri collects, why, and what we will never do with it. No legalese, because there's nothing to hide behind.

The short version: we collect what you type into our forms (your name, email, and what you tell us about your business) and your assessment answers. We use it to send you what you asked for and to reply to you. No ad trackers, no analytics cookies, and your data is never sold, rented, or shared for advertising. Email hello@ownfri.com any time and we'll show you everything we have on you, or delete it.
What we collect, and when
- The free assessment (assessment.ownfri.com): your answers, your computed scores and archetype, and the email address you enter to unlock your full report. For the home-services version, that includes the rough business numbers you enter, like quotes per week and average job value. This is stored in a private spreadsheet only we can access.
- The contact form and audit application (ownfri.com): your name, email, and whatever you write in the message fields. These arrive in our inbox and are kept like ordinary business email.
- Booked calls: scheduling runs on Calendly, under Calendly's own privacy policy. We receive the name, email, and time you choose.
- Plain email: if you write to hello@ownfri.com, we keep the thread the way any small business keeps its mail.
That's the complete list. We run no analytics platform, no advertising pixels, and no session recording on either site.
What we use it for
- Delivering your assessment results and anything else you asked for.
- Replying to your messages and applications.
- Occasionally following up about your results or about Ownfri services. Every such email has an opt-out, and a one-line reply asking us to stop also works.
What we never do
- Sell, rent, or trade your data. To anyone. Ever.
- Share your answers or scores publicly or with other businesses.
- Add you to third-party marketing lists.
Cookies
Ownfri sets no cookies of its own. Cloudflare, which hosts the site, may set a short-lived security cookie to protect it from bots. That cookie identifies a browsing session, not you.
Services that touch data on our behalf
A few well-known services help run the site, and each sees only what it needs to do its job:
- Cloudflare hosts and secures both sites, and like any host keeps standard server logs.
- Google stores assessment submissions in a private spreadsheet and serves our web fonts, which means your browser requests a font file from Google when a page loads.
- Web3Forms relays contact-form and application submissions to our inbox.
- Calendly handles call scheduling.
- cdnjs (run by Cloudflare) serves one animation script on the home page.
Your rights
Ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it: hello@ownfri.com. We normally answer within a few days and always within 30. Privacy laws like the GDPR, CCPA, and the Colorado Privacy Act grant these rights to people in certain places; we extend them to everyone, because it's simpler and it's right.
Children
Ownfri is a tool for business owners and isn't directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version appears on this page with a new date at the top. We won't quietly weaken it.
